Lassonde Industries Inc. was established in 1981. Before the Complainant’s incorporation in 1981, its affairs were conducted by its predecessors: an individual enterprise, “Lassonde”, which was founded in 1918.
The Lassonde trademark is registered in Canada and in the US.
The Respondent registered the disputed domain name on March 9, 2020, and at the time of this decision the disputed domain name does not resolve to an active website.
The Complainant contends that the disputed domain is confusingly similar to the LASSONDE trademark; that the Respondent has no rights or legitimate interests in respect of the disputed domain; and that it has been registered and is being used in bad faith.
The Respondent has not submitted a response.
The Panel has found that the disputed domain is confusingly similar to the Complainant’s LASSONDE trademark and that the Respondent has no rights or legitimate interests in the disputed domain. Having considered the Complainant’s rights and the Respondent’s use of the disputed domain, the Panel has found that the disputed domain was registered and is being used in bad faith.
Therefore the Complaint has been accepted and the disputed domain transferred.
