Over 28 years experience in all aspects of Intellectual Property and Information Technology law with a particular focus on IP, IT and Internet related litigation and arbitration.

Acted in arbitrations conducted under UCITRAL, ICC and WIPO rules as well as English law ad hoc arbitrations under the Arbitration Act

Experience of Domain Name disputes stretches back over 25 years, acting in cases before the English Courts for Harrods, WH Smith and British Airport Authority.   More recent cases include Vertical Leisure Ltd v Poleplus Ltd [2014] EWHC 2077 (IPEC) and [2015] EWHC 841 (IPEC).

Acted for Complainants and Respondents in numerous domain name ADR proceedings.  Recent examples include UEFA v Gamble CAC Case no. 01502 and Merryvale Limited v. Twenty Two Solutions Ltd WIPO Case no. D2020-2187 <spinzcasino.com>.

Approximately 500 domain name decisions (of which approximately 350 are under the UDRP) and 3 TPDDR decisions rendered to date.    Many of Matthew’s UDRP decisions appear in the WIPO UDRP Overview 3.0.
